my little pony is my favorite cartoon ever. little known fact about me but i love horses. my history with mlp when i was a kid i would play with my sisters ponies, because idk i was transgender. but by time i was in middle school the brony thing took off so there was a way to get into it without outing myself or having to confront my gender dysphoria. but i wasn't really down with the internet pedos. it just threw a whole stick in the mud. it made it hard to want to even watch new pony because i was groomed back then when i was a fan of the show. but now that i am 27 i find my self back into the series so what happened? i was reminded of my feminist roots. my little pony like a lot of childrens media is defacto feminist because my little pony is anti sexism. at least looking at the source materials. infact i will go over some commonalities of pony media across generations. evil male authority figure. female traitor who aligns with power. the woke boy characters for lil bro. the stories will have reoccuring themes of friendship, community building, and empathy that fosters a sense of sisterhood between the viewer and the ponies. I'm trying to say the ponies are feminist and pro social. they quite literally are empowered female characters because they are magical ponies. They are feminine and soft but they are not weak or harmless. The ponies have a sense of freedom i long for. they can work for the love of the game or just frolic in big open fields. Thye're horses what do they care. did you know?
